Phil Consuegra

Phil Consuegra

With nearly 20 years of experience in both independent and Catholic schools, Phil Consuegra brings a distinctive perspective to the management of educational organizations of all sizes and capacities. In his experience, he has managed all aspects of advancement, strategic planning, leadership development, external affairs, admissions, marketing and communications, and alumni relations at schools nationwide. Notably, Phil oversaw the formulation and execution of the Bosco Tech Strength and Spirit Strategic Plan from 2020 to 2021, updating the school’s mission/vision and charting a bold new direction for the school’s future.

In previous roles, Phil led advancement efforts at St. John Bosco High School (Bellflower, CA), Pacific Ridge School (Carlsbad, CA), William Penn Charter School (Philadelphia, PA), and Pine Crest School (Fort Lauderdale, FL). With unique experience in four major independent school markets in the United States, he has developed a keen sense of community building and independent school management that few others possess. Having raised over $70 million for independent schools of all sizes and missions over the span of his career, as well as building advancement operations and leadership structures that meaningfully engage all groups of community stakeholders, his passion for both independent and religious education as the great hope for the future of our country and world is palpable to those with whom he works. A teacher at heart, he began his career teaching AP U.S. Government and Politics at Pine Crest School, where he continued to teach in the classroom while also developing his work until 2018.

A product of Catholic schools from kindergarten through college, Phil attended Christ the King School and St. Pius X in Atlanta. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Miami, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California.
