Keynote Speaker: Mike Erwin

We are thrilled to announce Mike Erwin as the keynote speaker for this year's Partners in Mission National Advancement Summer Institute for Catholic Schools. A decorated military veteran, founder of several nonprofits, leadership expert, and Catholic school builder, Mike will challenge and inspire us with a simple, transformative idea: to lead others well; we must first renew ourselves and invest deeply in relationships.

Mike's accomplishments offer a masterclass in faith and purpose-driven leadership:

  • West Point graduate and Army veteran with three combat deployments and two Bronze Stars
  • Founder of three mission-driven nonprofits, including Team Red, White & Blue (veteran reintegration), The Positivity Project (character curriculum in 700+ schools), and Father Vincent Capodanno High School, a new independent Catholic school near Fort Bragg, NC
  • Author of two acclaimed books: Lead Yourself First (on the role of solitude in leadership) and Leadership is a Relationship (on how to put people first in a digital world)

Mike's message is a powerful blend of courage, conviction, and timely relevance, perfectly aligning with our mission as leaders in Catholic education.

What our Alumni Say

This was my first Partners in Missions conference and I was blown away! The information covered was so helpful and the hospitality was incredible. These guys know how to work hard and play hard. I definitely recommend this conference to any Admissions or Advancement office!

Emma Wilson, Associate Director of Admission, St Thomas Aquinas High School, Dover NH

I have attended this conference six times, and each time I learn something new and meet great people. I work with Larry as my coach, and he is both a great thought partner and a great resource. We also really valued the AI session and the discussion that came as a result of it - very timely!

Patrick Lee, President & Principal, St. Francis High School Salesian College Preparatory, California

The Partners in Mission Conference provided a remarkable opportunity to grow in vision and practice in my area of Enrollment Management. I could not wait to return to my school to implement some of the ideas learned at the conference.

Mary-Kate Tracy, Director of Mission, Ursuline Academy, Massachusetts

I can honestly say this conference changed my life and has given me and my team a “real conversation” opportunity for the first time in two years. We have a more targeted plan and we cannot thank you enough!

Paul Gessner, President, Edgewood Campus School, Madison, WI

Your team is truly phenomenal! Best conference I've ever attended! Support staff was wonderful and there wasn't a single detail that was overlooked.  Great job!

Susan Hehir, Director of Alumnae and Parent Relations, Ursuline Academy, MA

Partners in Mission provides excellent opportunities for new advancement professionals to build successful advancement operations for our Catholic schools.  They provide an invaluable resource in today's competitive marketplace to improve your advancement performance.

Robert Van der Waag, Director for Mission Advancement, Bishop McNamara High School, MD

This was my first experience with Partners in Mission and I was 100% impressed, both with the conference and the Partners in Mission team. All the seminars I attended gave me information that I could use to better my school, increase enrollment and engage our faculty. I cannot wait to begin implementing what I learned at the Partners in Mission Conference. I would definitely attend another one in the future.

Jennifer Hart, Director of Marketing and Admissions, Delone Catholic HS, PA

This conference was a brilliant example of stewardship in action! The valuable content offered during sessions, the interaction and accessibility of the entire Partner in Mission team, as well as the opportunity to engage socially with fellow attendees through thoughtfully planned Boston-centric activities, resulted in an engaging and inspiring event. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to attend, as it was a meaningful experience both professionally & personally. Thank you, Partners in Mission!

Kristen Kitchen, Associate Director of Advancement, Saint John School, Ohio

Attending the Partners in Mission Advancement Conference for the first time was an incredibly enriching experience that exceeded all expectations. I found the conference to be not only informative but also deeply inspiring on a spiritual level. The sessions were thoughtfully curated, covering a wide range of topics, including strategic planning, annual funds, capital campaigns, and winning over major donor prospects. The conference was a testament to the power of community and our shared Catholic faith. Engaging with fellow educators, administrators, and industry experts created a supportive environment where ideas flourished and meaningful connections were made. Overall, the conference was a transformative experience. It provided me with the tools, knowledge, and renewed sense of purpose needed to enhance our school’s mission and strengthen our community. I look forward to implementing what I’ve learned and returning next year to continue growing alongside this remarkable network of educators and leaders.

Rachel Polak, Principal, St. Clare Catholic School, Florida

The mission is truly alive at this conference for Catholic schools. Bring your team and an empty notebook to fill with wisdom -- the ideas are endless, the strategies attainable, and the collaboration restores and renews oneself for the advancement of Catholic education!

What an incredible experience!  This week was full of opportunities to network and learn more about my role, how to set goals, how to achieve those goals, and more importantly, WHY we do what we do.  I am so grateful to the Partners for their enthusiasm, support, and wealth of knowledge that they brought to the conference.  I am ready for a new year!

Monica Steinmetz, Director of Admissions,
Rochester Catholic Schools, Minnesota
