Katie Thiemann brings her passion for excellent, accessible Catholic education and her advancement skills to Partners in Mission as a Senior Partner.
Katie recently retired from Cor Jesu as the Director of Advancement. During her time there, she led the charge in raising over $45 million for Cor Jesu Academy. She was instrumental in purchasing 16 acres of land, which more than doubled the size of the campus. Expansion and improvements of the campus include the construction of $20 million in new buildings, expansions, and renovations to athletic facilities, performing arts, and academic spaces.
In addition to physical campus improvements, Katie was crucial in making a Cor Jesu education accessible to all qualified students and their families. During her tenure, the school’s Endowment Fund grew from $2 million to $12 million. Annual financial aid has increased to $2.1 million annually, with over 50% of families receiving tuition assistance. The number of endowed scholarships is now 127 (compared to 22 in 2003.) Most recently, Katie and the CJA leadership team launched the RISE program – a tuition-free middle school academic and leadership program for students from low-income level households.
Katie has worked with many clients at Partners in Mission, including projects in strategic planning, advancement counsel, advancement assessments, feasibility studies, and capital campaigns. She particularly enjoys sharing her experience with all-girls schools with clients.
Katie has a B.S. in Accounting from Marquette University, an M.B.A. in Marketing from St. Louis University, and a certificate in Mission Leadership from the Aquinas Institute.
She and her husband Brian live in the city of St. Louis, and are parishioners at St. Francis Xavier College Church. They have four adult children who currently reside in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and St. Louis, so her passion for travel is easily accomplished!
