Senior Partner
With close to three decades of fundraising and non-profit management experience Michael has helped organizations raise over $400 million in major and planned gifts in support of their missions. He has broad experience in the world of advancement and during his career has helped build and grow programs in support of education, underserved communities and public policy.
As the Director of Major Gift Planning at the Heritage Foundation he oversaw substantial growth in major and planned gift funding for one of the country’s top public policy think tanks. He led a $60 million effort to complete the President’s Campaign which supported the successful transition of that institution’s leadership. He also led Heritage’s planned giving efforts that inspired hundreds of new commitments and doubled the size of their Legacy Society.
In 2016 Michael founded Alexis Consulting, which provided numerous non-profits assistance in management and fundraising strategies. Alexis Consulting has helped manage the fundraising training and growth for think tanks, educational institutions and social development programs including The Thomas More Society, Oakcrest School, Christendom College, Divine Mercy University and the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. Alexis Consulting assisted these institutions and others to develop vision statements and campaign strategies, create and restructure advancement offices, create fundraising pipelines and prospect lists and develop methods to achieve sustainable growth in fundraising.
Michael joined Partners in Mission as a Senior Partner in 2025 with a focus on growing Partner’s work with classical Catholic Schools and Universities.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dallas. He and his wife, Abby, reside in Great Falls, Virginia and have seven children.
