Evan Wescott is a proven partner to organizations and their leadership in exploring, identifying, recruiting and retaining the people needed to drive successful outcomes.
After graduating from the Catholic University of America in 2012, Evan spent several years in college campus ministry alongside the Order of Friars Minor Conventual at Duke University. After leaving ministry, he spent three years in private equity software development before shifting his client management and product experience towards executive search.
Beginning in research, Evan quickly rose in his firm as it underwent several ownership changes. Eventually, he became a Search Principal with Buffkin / Baker, a premier boutique search firm based in Brentwood, TN, where he handled candidate sourcing and client management alongside his efforts supporting marketing and technology integration. Over his five years in executive search, he participated in over 45 searches, worth over $2.5m in revenue for the organization. His work included major healthcare systems, Fortune 500 companies, and innovation technology and services businesses. Additionally, Evan worked on faith-based executive leadership projects and Christian businesses, finding leaders that shared both the religious and business values and mission of these enterprises.
Evan joined Partners in Mission in August 2026 to bring his lived experience in top-tier executive recruitment to the Catholic institutions that shape the future of the Catholic faith in society.
Evan holds dual degrees in mathematics and theology from the Catholic University of America. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Nashville, TN, with their two (soon to be three in) girls.
