Lisa Alfonso has been involved in Catholic education for over twenty years. A native Floridian, Lisa attended Catholic elementary and high school institutions in the Greater Orlando area. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in Exceptional Education - Specific Learning Disabilities, in 1996, and her Master's degree in Elementary Education in 1999. Upon graduation, she began her teaching career at her elementary alma mater St. John Vianney Catholic School. After teaching in many different settings, Lisa changed her career direction and began working in the area of Advancement for St. John Vianney Catholic Church and School in 2012.
In 2014, Lisa moved to The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida as the Director of Development for Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Central Florida, where she was tasked with initiating and implementing a Development program including annual fund, special events, major gifts, and planned giving for its new $20 million-dollar Catholic Center. In 2016, Lisa was appointed Director of Advancement for Morning Star Catholic School, a school for those with special needs, as well as being appointed Advancement Associate for her alma mater, Bishop Moore Catholic High School.
Lisa obtained her Professional Certificates in Fundraising and Development, and Nonprofit Management from the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. Lisa is a dedicated mother to her four children, spending any available free time enjoying their numerous school and sport activities.
